Meridian Counseling is a new and growing group practice dedicated to integrating mental health into everyday health and wellness routines. We serve the Westside of Los Angeles. We are seeking a licensed mental health therapist to join our team.

Job Description

Title: Clinical Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Clinical Supervisor oversees and guides supervisees, provides clinical supervision, ensures quality client care, supports professional development, and manages the supervisory team.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Supervision:

  • Provide regular triadic supervision to AMFT, ACSWs and APCCs
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical work while offering guidance, feedback and support.
  • Promote collaboration and a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices and evidence‑based interventions.
  • Oversee the management of client cases, ensuring effective treatment planning, appropriate interventions and coordination of care.
  • Request case presentations/video recordings to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

Staff Management:

  • Encourage employee development, measurement and accountability, while highlighting achievements.
  • Coach to achieve successful results to enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Recognize gaps in skills and offer training to improve performance and professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to support supervisees’ growth and development.
  • With the support of HR, address employee relations and performance issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and maintain quality assurance measures to evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of clinical services.
  • Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to quality of client care.

Team Collaboration:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative supervisory team culture through effective communication and interpersonal skills, including developing strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as administration and intake to ensure seamless service delivery and model support for their requests in a timely manner.

Ethical Standards and Compliance:

  • Ensure that supervisees adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements and legal regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting clinical practice.
  • Address any compliance issues promptly and in collaboration with leadership and HR, including harassment, bullying and other discriminatory behavior.

Supervisory Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supervision sessions, including progress notes and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare reports as needed for organizational leadership.
  • Maintain performance documentation, including recognition and noncompliance/neglect leading to disciplinary action in partnership with HR.
  • With support of HR, prepare corrective action plans when needed to reinforce expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD/PsyD in psychology, social work or counseling.
  • Clinical licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PhD, PsyD) required.
  • Proven experience in clinical supervision within a healthcare or mental health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, treatment modalities and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Prior experience leading and managing employees and teams preferred.
Salary

$68 - $108 hourly wage
