Job summary

Egis seeks a Maintenance and Facility Manager for the Sacramento, CA office to lead a critical CA High-Speed Rail project. You will define maintenance requirements, establish asset policies, and oversee facilities supporting rail operations, including OCC and rolling stock maintenance, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in rail, a Master’s degree in engineering, and a California PE license.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in the rail industry spanning design, construction, and maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years in a management role overseeing rail infrastructure maintenance.
• Strong autonomy and technical expertise in HSR maintenance and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Act as Subject Matter Expert within the California HSR Authority.
• Define maintenance requirements and asset management policies.
• Develop asset inventory, criticality classification and maintenance programs.
• Plan inspection, condition monitoring, thresholds and escalation rules.
• Specify support facilities at the end of the design phase.
• Support designers from design through construction start.
• Oversee Maintenance of Way, Rolling Stock, OCC, and railhead facilities.
• Directly supervise a rolling stock expert and matrix discipline teams.
