Job summary

Considine Search is seeking an experienced Docket Specialist to support our Firm Docketing Department in Los Angeles. You will review court documents, calculate critical deadlines, and maintain accurate docket entries in CompuLaw across multiple offices.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of litigation docketing experience, a solid handle on California court rules, and proficiency with Compulaw, PACER/CM/ECF, and MS Office. Excellent attention to detail and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of litigation docketing experience in a law firm or legal services environment.
• Strong knowledge of California state and federal court rules (Cal. Code of Civil Procedure, Rules of Court).
• Experience calculating California litigation deadlines (discovery, motions, service, hearings).
• Proficiency with Compulaw or similar docketing system; familiarity with PACER/CM/ECF.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret pleadings, orders, notices to identify and calculate deadlines.
• Enter and maintain deadlines, appearances, hearings, and reminders in the docketing system.
• Quality-control docket entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Coordinate with attorneys and staff to clarify docketing requests and provide guidance.
