Job summary

BP is seeking a P&C Records and Compliance Analyst to support compliance and records management across the United States, with a strong focus on California employment laws. The role involves analyzing personnel records, interpreting complex regulations, and coordinating with Legal, P&C, and leadership teams while handling confidential information.

The ideal candidate will have critical thinking, attention to detail, and experience with HRIS/Excel/Word, plus multi-state employment law knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field.
• 4–5 years in HR, compliance, records management, or related field.
• Experience with employment law, regulatory compliance, investigations, audits, or legal matters preferred.
• Strong understanding of multi-state employment laws with California experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Drive compliance across the United States with emphasis on California employment laws and reporting.
• Analyze and provide complete P&C documentation for legal, regulatory, and internal requests.
• Review personnel records and prepare summaries, analyses, and reports per legal guidance.
• Collaborate with Legal and P&C teams to interpret records and assess compliance obligations.
• Coordinate and monitor compliance reporting processes for accuracy and deadlines.
• Research changes to federal, state, and local employment laws and interpret impacts.
• Conduct audits of P&C records to identify gaps and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Prepare responses to state agency inquiries and wage/hour claims with comprehensive documentation.
• Support development and maintenance of compliance training materials.
• Use HRIS and reporting tools to analyze workforce data and support decisions.
