Job summary

The State Bar of California is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented paralegal. In this role, you will coordinate responses to California Public Records Act requests and provide legal support tasks under the supervision of the Assistant General Counsel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a paralegal.
• Completion of required continuing legal education classes.

Responsibilities

• Draft and send responses to public records requests.
• Communicate with requestors to clarify document identification.
• Collaborate with State Bar offices to gather records.
• Research eligible exemptions related to CPRA.
• Assist with subpoena and discovery compliance.
• Provide litigation support including case management.
