Job summary

Collins Aerospace is hiring for an entry-level Calibration Tech I in Carroll, IA. You will learn to prepare and assemble components, set up production equipment, and monitor spray quality under supervision to qualify for certification within 120 days.

External candidates will receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The role offers training first on days, then a 3rd shift schedule, with opportunities to grow within the calibration and quality processes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or vocational/technical education in a related discipline
• Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings
• Moderate computer proficiency (email, print documents, internet)
• Basic shop math including Geometric Tolerances

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate test stands for nozzle, spray bars, and valves according to specs
• Learn to set up and operate laser marker and printer per procedures
• Record spray parameters by serial number and certify conformance
• Disassemble, repair, and assemble product as needed
• Complete production documentation and assist in labor transitions
• Follow EHS, Quality, and CI guidelines and participate in safety activities
• Participate in Continuous Improvement; may work overtime and nonstandard hours
• Training first 3–6 months on day shift, then 10pm–6am shift
