Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Carroll, IA is seeking an entry-level Calibration Tech I to learn setup and operation of test stands, marker systems, and documentation with direct supervision. You will advance toward certification while handling production tasks and following standard work.

This 3rd shift, onsite role includes a sign-on bonus for external candidates and a comprehensive benefits package, with opportunities for growth and training within Power & Controls.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma or vocational/technical education.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting and basic shop math helpful.
• Ability to read prints and understand work instructions.
• Familiarity with ACE principles and problem solving in production.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate test stands for nozzle/valve checks.
• Operate laser marker and printer per procedures.
• Record spray parameters and certify product conformance.
• Disassemble/repair/assemble parts as needed under supervision.
• Complete production documentation and manage labor transitions.
• Follow EHS, Quality and CI guidelines; participate in safety initiatives.
• Work extended hours or shifts as required by business needs.
• Understand role-specific training and certification timelines.
