Job summary

SIMCO Electronics is seeking a Laboratory Operations Lead to manage day-to-day calibration and repair lab activities in Denver/Longmont. You will lead technicians, coordinate field services, and ensure quality, accuracy, and timely documentation in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role combines hands-on calibration with leadership responsibilities, reporting to the lab supervisor. Requires 5+ years in calibration, ISO 17025 knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in a relevant field.
• Formal PMEL or equivalent technical training is highly desirable.
• At least 5 years of experience in calibration and repair with physical dimensional, RF/microwave and general test equipment calibration.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 and uncertainty calculations.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform calibration, maintenance and verification of equipment per industry standards and procedures.
• Coordinate and monitor lab operations, field services, and job assignments.
• Assist lab supervisor with daily operations and ensure timely, accurate service documentation.
