The Hardware Test Engineering team plays a key role in keeping up quality standards, and through work with the team, you’ll have the outstanding opportunity to impact products all across Apple. The team is looking for a system design engineer who is responsible for the design and deployment of systems, which carry out calibration and performance validation of optical sensors. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of the lifecycle of the test system - from prototyping to deployment at mass production. You will work closely with the Optical and Health Sensing design group to define calibration and test procedures, and design high precision instrumentation & systems to be able to perform this efficiently in a factory environment.

You will be responsible for the specification, design, validation and deployment of automated equipment to test and calibrate devices for Apple’s new product introduction (NPI) and mass production. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
