We are seeking a Display Engineer to develop novel display technologies for iPhone products. The role involves collaboration on flat panel displays at both component and system levels, focusing on delivering top performance displays. You will serve as a key liaison among incubation teams, system design, display EE, mechanical teams, supply chain management, and suppliers, managing all activities from concept to production.

Description

You will work with internal and external partners to define display module specifications for new iPhone projects. This includes collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across optical, EE, mechanical, process, and panel design disciplines, and leading interactions with suppliers as the primary technical contact.

Your responsibilities include performing display evaluations, reviewing test results from vendors and internal teams, ensuring performance specifications are met, identifying engineering gaps, and driving their resolution efficiently to support project timelines.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field, with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Technical expertise in optical design, characterization, semiconductor optoelectronics, display technologies, or optical sensors.
  • Experience with optical measurement systems for characterization, testing, and validation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, LabVIEW, and statistical analysis tools like JMP or MATLAB, along with optical simulation tools like LightTools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s or PhD degree.
  • Experience with failure analysis related to optical device performance and process outcomes.
  • Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of display-specific optics and experience with module engineering and mass production processes.
Pay & Benefits

Apple offers a competitive total compensation package. The base salary range for this role is $143,100 to $264,200, depending on skills, experience, and location. Employees can participate in stock programs, receive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounts, educational reimbursement, and may be eligible for bonuses or relocation assistance.
