Job summary

Paris Baguette is seeking a Cake Team Member in New York to help craft cakes, pastries and desserts with attention to quality and presentation. You will scale, decorate and produce desserts while maintaining clean, organized workspaces and learning new techniques to delight guests.

This role requires knowledge of production methods, food safety and the ability to work weekends and holidays. It offers a friendly team environment, flexible benefits and opportunities to grow as a confectionery

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food production process, sanitation, and quality programs.
• Understanding confectionery techniques and recipe procedures.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for scaling, decorating and producing of all Desserts, Pastries and Cakes
• General knowledge of production methods and organization of Confectionary production
• Learn new products and skills and demonstrate proper techniques to new cakers
• Sanitization procedures and maintaining overall cleanliness of work station
• Must be able to manage time and skills with strong organization
• Knowledge of all recipes and procedures of all production
• Ensure cake display is presentable for internal and external customers
• Make creams and sauces for cakes and pastries
• Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas
• Inform supervisor when equipment is not working properly and manage when food supplies are getting low
• Perform other related duties as assigned
