Job summary

Paris Baguette Gold Coast in Chicago seeks a Caker to handle bakery production, decorating and decorating, and to keep the in-store confectionery running smoothly. You will ensure product quality, maintain cleanliness, and support safety standards throughout shifts.

The role requires at least one year in food handling, familiarity with confectionery production, and a High School Diploma or GED, with Illinois certification preferred. Experience with Paris Baguette is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of food handling/store experience.
• Confectionery/Foods major preferred.
• Illinois Food Certification or ability to become certified.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Scale, decorate, and produce all desserts and cakes.
• Maintain daily par levels and restock displays during shifts.
• Adhere to food safety policies and proper labeling of containers.
• Ensure cake displays are presentable for customers.
• Prepare creams and sauces for cakes and pastries.
• Receive and organize deliveries in designated areas.
• Inform supervisor when equipment is not working or supplies are low.
• Support coworkers in training initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
