Job summary

Hy-Vee in Eagan, MN is seeking a Bakery Cake Designer to bring customer visions to life with fresh designs. You will decorate cakes for birthdays, weddings, and everyday treats, and set up wedding cakes on site.

You'll lead part-time staff, collaborate with the bakery team, manage production timetables, and ensure sanitation and safety standards while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in bakery or decorating preferred but training provided.
• Ability to decorate cakes with current design trends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, and assist with needs throughout the store.
• Check and plan daily production schedules for cake orders.
• Decorate cakes and keep up with new designs and trends.
• Lead part-time staff and coordinate with the Bakery Manager.
• Prepare wedding cakes for on-site delivery and setup.
• Ensure sanitation and safety in the decorating area.
