Job summary

Kroger’s King Soopers bakery department in Colorado is seeking a customer-focused team member to assist customers, decorate bakery items, and help maintain a safe, clean environment. You will respond to product inquiries, suggest items, and support the department manager in achieving sales goals.

The role emphasizes producing high-quality bakery goods, following health and safety standards, and contributing to a welcoming shopper experience in-store.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Bakery/cake decorating experience is preferred.
• Able to handle stressful situations and fast-paced work.
• Basic math skills for transactions and measurements.
• Effective communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by answering questions about products and services.
• Gain knowledge of products and suggest items to customers.
• Prepare bakery items including wedding cakes using proper equipment.
• Maintain product quality and freshness; check sell-by dates.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cookies and other bakery items.
