Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles is seeking a Bakery Decorator to craft and finish cakes, tarts, pastries, and special orders. You’ll use artistry to create decorative designs while maintaining food safety standards and assisting Apprentices and teammates.

You’ll follow recipes, manage production, and help ensure quality in a fast-paced store environment. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays, and a commitment to customer service

Formación

• Minimum 6–12 months retail or restaurant experience.
• Completion of Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a professional bakery or grocery retail preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes and other bakery items following standard procedures.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products in the display case and monitor freshness.
• Provide guidance for Bakery Decorator Apprentices and teammates.
• Create special order cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle phones promptly.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and equipment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
