Qualifications

• Excellent cake and pastry decorating skills with intermediate piping techniques.
• Ability to apply color theory to buttercream colors and coordinating palettes.
• Ability to follow recipes, directions, and procedures with strong time management.
• Advanced knife handling and tool safety for bakery work.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to serve customers respectfully.
• Ability to deliver information clearly to team members, customers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and decorate cakes, tarts, select pastry, and special-order bakery items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes and other bakery items following standard procedures; maintain production records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise and showcase products in the display case; monitor freshness and rotation.
• Provide guidance to Bakery Decorator Apprentices and other team members.
