Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli/Bakery team member to provide quality customer service within the department. You will contribute to a positive shopping experience through fast, friendly service, proper food handling, and adherence to safety guidelines.

You will learn ingredients, production standards, labeling, and standard practice, while supporting ordering, receiving, and merchandising to maximize sales.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand ingredients, mixes, icings, and coordinate colors.
• Follow production standards and proper labeling/food handling procedures.
• Ensure department sanitation and proper food handling.
• Handle ordering, receiving, preparation, and display according to policies.
• Adhere to company guidelines and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents per Food Lion procedures.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge when on duty.
