Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli/Bakery Associate to provide quality customer service and maintain department standards. You will assist with product preparation, sanitation, labeling, and safety compliance while ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

The role involves following standard processes, using department tools, and collaborating with team members to meet company guidelines and policies.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service.
Courteous and helpful to other associates.
Understand production standards for processing of all product; coordinate with department.
Follow all technical manuals for processing of product, label placement, etc.
Ensure proper sanitation of department, equipment and proper food handling/preparation.
Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge when on duty.
