Job summary

Food Lion in Lavonia, GA is seeking a Deli/Bakery team member to deliver quality customer service in the deli bakery department, uphold standards per the manual, and help maximize sales while maintaining food safety.

You will assist customers, prepare ingredients, monitor product standards, and keep the area clean and organized. Adherence to policies and safety guidelines is required, with a neat uniform and name badge on duty.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
• Courteous and helpful to other associates
• Understand production standards for processing of all product
• Follow all technical manuals for processing of product, label placement, etc.
• Ensure proper sanitation of department, equipment and proper food handling/preparation
• Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron, complete with name badge, when on duty, has a neat and clean appearance while adhering to the Food Lion dress code
• Understand and use company tools such as; average cost inventory system (ACIS) and ordering (CAO)
• Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packet and Training Aid courses
• Perform all other duties as assigned
