Job summary

Northgate Gonzalez Market in Southern California seeks a Bakery Decorator to join our store bakery team. You will decorate cakes and pastries, maintain product quality, and ensure accuracy in labeling, dating, and inventory.

Prior decorating experience and a high school diploma are preferred; pastry arts certification is a plus. This role offers a supportive team, growth opportunities, and a family-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required.
• Three years decorating experience required; or equivalent experience.
• Completion of a certificate program in pastry arts preferred but not required.
• Ability to calculate percentages/ratios for recipes and pricing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50–70 pounds and handle bakery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes and pastries with designs using icing bags or cones.
• Label and date products; maintain rotation and inventory control.
• Assist in decorating, pastry production, sanitation, and stocking of bakery items.
• Follow safety rules and cooperate with team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance and comply with dress regulations.
