Responsibilities

• Assist customers by answering questions about bakery products.
• Gain knowledge of department products to respond to inquiries.
• Offer samples and prepare bakery items per requests.
• Recommend bakery items to customers to meet needs.
• Check product quality and freshness; review dates and stock equipment accordingly.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies and other bakery items.
• Stock, label, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Know the store layout and current ads; locate products for customers.
• Maintain inventory awareness and note discrepancies.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs or maintenance needs.
• Report safety risks including theft or fraud to management.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
