• Able to communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by answering questions about products and store sections.
• Offer samples and bake items per requests using bakery equipment.
• Suggest bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Check product quality and freshness; monitor dates.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes and cookies.
• Label, stock, sign and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain knowledge of store layout and ads; locate products on request.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and food safety rules.
• Operate equipment safely and report needed repairs.
• Report safety risks and incidents to management.
• Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
