Job summary

Food City is seeking an on-site associate to support daily customer service, cake decoration, and quality food preparation. The role emphasizes a friendly atmosphere, teamwork, and meeting customer expectations across bakery and food service areas.

The ideal candidate will be 18+ and understand instructions, with or without prior food service experience. On-site shifts are required, with opportunities for cross-training and advancement within the Food City family.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet physical, mental and visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to support the mission to Run the Best Store in Town.
• Greet customers and maintain a friendly, teamwork‑driven atmosphere.
• Prepare and decorate quality foods and products, including cakes and cookies.
• Maintain cake and cookie displays and rotate products as needed.
• Take telephone orders and ensure timely delivery of special cake orders.
• Cross-train in multiple areas with varied responsibilities.
