Giant Eagle Market District bakery is hiring a Cake Decorator to craft beautiful and delicious cakes and provide outstanding guest service. You will prepare and decorate products in the Bakery department to ensure only fresh items are available, while supporting a team and growing into leadership roles.

You should be creative, passionate about food trends, and eager to connect with guests. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and helping customers find perfect treats.

Qualifications

• 6 to 12 months experience or successful completion of Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program.
• No High School diploma required.
• Lifting Up to 50 pounds.
• Age 18+.

Responsibilities

• Fill tables and cases with cakes by taking product from prep area to sales area.
• Apply merchandising principles to generate sales and WOW the guest.
• Take special orders from guests over the telephone or in person.
• Maintain quality of product by checking dates and condition.
• Provide exemplary customer service and help guests locate products.
• Prepare and decorate cakes for bakery cases and displays.
