Job summary

ShopRite in Glassboro, NJ, is seeking a Cake Decorator to assist the Bakery Manager with daily operations, baking, dough mixing, icing, decorating, and packaging of pastry items. The role requires adherence to safety, quality, and company policies and involves standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean department, providing friendly customer service, stocking and rotating products, and following recipes and QA standards.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to assist the Bakery Manager.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.; work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow recipes to produce pastry and bread items as directed by the Bakery Manager.
• Prepare trays and packaging to satisfaction of Company and customers.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and maintain QA standards.
• Ensure correct signage and proper stocking of department.
• Perform duties in accordance with safety, QA, and company policies.
