Job summary

Food City is hiring for a customer-focused role in our store. You will greet customers, provide prompt service, and help with bakery items including decorating cakes and cookies. Maintain displays, rotate products, and assist in taking orders, while staying flexible to support various store tasks.

Roles emphasize teamwork, reliability, and ability to handle on-site shifts. Prior food service is a plus, but not required; 18+ years old and able to meet physical/mental/visual demands are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various individuals daily.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, courteous customer service and support the mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town'.
• Create a friendly, positive atmosphere through teamwork and flexibility.
• Greet and assist customers with prompt, courteous service and handle orders.
• Prepare and decorate quality food and bakery items, including cakes and cupcakes.
• Maintain display cases and ensure proper rotation and dating of products.
• Keep workstation neat, stock inventory, and assist in timely delivery of special orders.
• Cross-train in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
