Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a part-time bakery team member to help with daily cake decorating, frosting, and display duties. You will take and fulfil customer orders, prep supplies at shift start, and ensure strict food safety and sanitation standards across all work areas within the bakery.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work 4+ hour shifts, and pass a 60-day probation. Prior experience preferred; all applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate to complete job duties and follow safety policies.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position.
• Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools for this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet company performance standards including regular attendance.
• Must wear proper assigned clothes and shoes for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule and prepare PPE and supplies at start of shift.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes and decorate with color frosting.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store in bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, displays, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation practices.
