Job summary

Carlo's Bakery in New York is seeking a dedicated Baker/Cake Decorating Instructor to bake our daily line of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and biscotti, while also teaching cake decorating classes on scheduled days to enthusiastic learners.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of baking/decorating experience or a culinary program degree, can instruct classes, is comfortable using Microsoft Office, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while upholding food safety and product quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years baking/decorating experience or a culinary program degree.
• Experience instructing cake decorating classes.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Produce baked goods including cakes, cupcakes and cookies per production standards.
• Instruct cake decorating classes on scheduled days.
• Maintain product quality by following recipes and prep procedures.
• Operate ovens, mixers and other bakery equipment safely.
• Prepare special orders and ensure customer specifications.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards.
