Job summary

Grand Island Casino Resort is seeking a Cage Shift Supervisor to oversee cage and vault personnel, ensure compliance with policies and Gaming Commission rules, and supervise cage and vault staff on shift.

The role requires strong customer service, supervision of cashiers, mathematical accuracy, and integrity to secure operations within the cashier cages and vault areas.

Qualifications

• Three years of cashiering or banking operations experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and one year of related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cage cashiers in their regular shift duties.
• Supervise vault cashiers in their regular shift duties.
• Ensure accurate and secure operation of the cashier cages and vault on assigned shift.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures for cashing negotiable instruments and intra-departmental transactions.
• Maintain professional relationships with other departments (Slots, Table Games, Food & Beverage, Retail Outlets, Golf Course, Hotel and Spa, Security, Surveillance, Accounting).
• Knowledge of all levels of Cage operations (Cage Cashier).
• Access to sensitive areas requires high integrity and honesty.

Job description

The Cage Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising all cage and vault personnel, activities, and accountability and ensuring cage policies and procedures and Gaming Commission rules and regulations are being followed.

Essential Functions

• Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Supervise cage cashiers in their regular shift duties.
• Supervise vault cashiers in their regular shift duties.
• Responsible for ensuring accurate and secure operation of the cashier cages and vault on assigned shift.
• Implements and maintains policies and procedures that maximize the cashing of negotiable instruments and intra-departmental transactions on an assigned shift.
• Maintain professional working relationships with other departments personnel, including Slots, Table Games, Food & Beverage, Retail Outlets, Golf Course, Hotel and Spa, Security, Surveillance and Accounting.
• Knowledge of all levels of the Cage operations (Cage Cashier).
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
• Basic knowledge of gaming control regulations.
• This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through three years' experience in cashiering or banking operations and/or through a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field and one-year closely related experience.
• Access to sensitive areas includes the cashier cage, vault, count room and files and therefore, the highest levels of integrity and honesty are essential for this function.
• This position will require wearing a uniform as a casino customer service employee.

Required

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission License.
