Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort Medford is seeking a Cage Supervisor to lead daily cage operations with precision and professionalism. You will balance accuracy, security, and guest service while maintaining records and collaborating with bankers and cashiers.

The role requires supervisory experience, cash handling expertise, and strong writing and communication skills. Weekend/evening availability is expected in a fast-paced casino environment with a focus on hospitality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year cage, banking, or other acceptable cash handling experience.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience required.
  • Proficient ability to operate MS Office.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cage operations during your designated shift to ensure smooth processes.
  • Review paperwork on shift for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with cage procedures.
  • Schedule staff to deliver excellent guest service while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Assist Main Bankers and Cashiers to support daily cage operations.
  • Maintain accurate Title 31 information in compliance with regulations.
  • Promote integrity, teamwork, and hospitality within the team.

As a Cage Supervisor, you are the guiding force behind a smooth and efficient casino cage operation. You lead your shift with precision and professionalism, ensuring all practices and procedures meet industry standards. Balancing accuracy, security, and guest service, you oversee your team while maintaining records and reports, supporting both guests and staff, and fostering a positive, energetic environment that reflects the excitement and hospitality of the resort.

What you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Oversee all cage operations during your designated shift, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Review all paperwork on your shift to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with cage procedures.
  • Schedule staff strategically to deliver excellent guest service while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Assist Main Bankers and Cashiers as needed to support daily cage operations.
  • Service kiosks, cash dispensers, and cash recyclers when necessary to keep all systems running seamlessly.
  • Provide exceptional guest service and build strong, positive relationships with team members.
  • Offer professional supervision and guidance to cage team members, resolving issues, making sound decisions, and exercising discretion while escalating matters to the Lead Supervisor or Cage Manager when appropriate.
  • Ensure all team members on shift comply with internal controls, reporting requirements, and company policies.
  • Record and maintain accurate Title 31 information in accordance with regulations.
  • Maintain strict security measures to protect company assets and confidential information.
  • Promote a culture of integrity, teamwork, and hospitality, creating a welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year cage, banking, or other acceptable cash handling experience.
  • Team oriented; minimum one (1) year supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability in accurate cash and efficient paperwork handling.
  • Proficient ability to operate 10-key adding machine/calculator with high degree of accuracy.
  • General working knowledge of cage and casino operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct cage operations in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Minimum one year computer experience with MS Office.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
