Job summary

Case Farms, Inc. is seeking a dependable maintenance worker to support live animal operations. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing trailers and cages, handling paperwork, and following safety procedures in a fast-paced farm setting.

You will operate heavy equipment, inspect cages, and adhere to DOT and animal welfare guidelines. Night, weekend, and extended shifts are required, with PPE worn as required.

Qualifications

• Maintenance tasks such as cutting, grinding and welding.
• Basic math skills for measurements and checklists.
• Ability to operate yard equipment like forklift or yard truck.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize live haul trailers and cages.
• Perform paperwork related to the job, e.g., work orders.
• Inspect and repair cages in compliance with DOT and animal welfare rules.
• Drive various heavy-duty equipment safely.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Clean and sanitize live haul trailers and cages.
• Perform all necessary paperwork associated with the assigned job (i.e. work orders, charge parts, etc.).
• Inspect and repair cages, adhering to DOT and animal welfare guidelines and regulations.
• Drive various heavy-duty equipment safely.
• General housekeeping duties, maintaining neat, clean, and orderly work area.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relative maintenance experience (e.g. cutting, grinding, welding, etc.).
• Basic math functions and skills.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
• Ability to operate yard equipment (e.g. forklift, yard truck, tractor, etc.).
• Ability to work unsupervised and self‑motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
