Job summary

Case Farms is seeking a professional Class A CDL driver to transport poultry products regionally. The role requires adherence to DOT regulations, completion of pre-trip inspections, and safe loading/unloading of trailers.

You will operate in a fast-paced environment, work nights/weekends, and report maintenance issues to supervision. A valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year of verifiable experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience driving live poultry tractor-trailers is preferred.
• Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Wear PPE and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses).
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules and company policies.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (i.e., tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses, etc.).
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Clean and wash truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Comply with all DOT safety rules and regulations, all company policies, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1-year verifiable satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation, State and Federal Laws.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous live poultry tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Basic math functions and skills.
• Follow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programs.
• Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work in outside environment (including inclement weather) daily.
• Sit and drive for up to 10 hours, and climb in and out of the truck cab throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Work around raw, live animal odors.
• Work in a noisy environment (>85 decibels) and around moving equipment.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and long shifts.
