Job summary

Case Farms, Inc. in Winesburg, Ohio, seeks a reliable housekeeping/janitorial associate to maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and other assigned areas. The role may require covering absences in other areas within the department and rotating to clean the plant during downtime.

Job description

This position ensures the cleanliness and tidiness of the common areas, hallways, and other assigned areas. Housekeeping/Janitorial staff members may also be required to fill in for absences or vacations in other areas within the department. Helps to maintain accurate weekly inventories and rotates to clean up the plant during downtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Performs janitorial tasks to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the common areas, hallways, and other assigned areas.
• Adheres to all safety requirements, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management-related matters.
• Maintain proper documentation on required paperwork.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work in areas with wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• May be exposed to hot and dusty work environments.
• Ability to move easily through multiple doors, one- and two-story environments.
• May be exposed to chemicals used for disinfecting and cleaning.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
• Lift a minimum of 50lbs with assistance.
• Work Areas may or may not be temperature controlled.
• Multi-lingual, diverse work environment.
• Usually works six days a week; overtime may be required based on production needs.
