Job summary

Coury Hospitality seeks a Steward to perform janitorial and utility duties, ensuring safety and cleanliness in assigned areas while delivering guest service.

The role requires adherence to safety policies, the ability to handle industrial cleaners, and flexible hours including nights or weekends. Experience in restaurant or food service is a plus, with a high school diploma desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow verbal and written directions.
• Must be able to work with industrial cleaning supplies.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to successfully multi-task several duties at one time.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors; clean walls and floor mats.
• Remove refuse; clean trash containers; maintain loading dock area.
• Pick up trash in kitchen and loading dock area.
• Maintain walk-in refrigerators.
• Keep storage areas, tools, equipment and carts clean as directed by supervisor.
• Assist in dish area operations and rewash items as needed.
• Change and dispose of grease.
• Maintain safety and report accidents; complete incident reports as required.
• Support fellow associates as needed.
• Report maintenance problems to the on-duty manager.
• Follow company policies, safety and sanitation procedures.
• May work nights, weekends, and/or overtime.
• Additional tasks may be assigned based on business needs.
