Job summary

Wet Willie's is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness and organization in dining service areas, including the Dining Room and Bistro. The role involves dishwashing, pot washing, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of food and supplies while adhering to sanitary standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of fine dining or casual dining experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality or casual dining.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and bend or climb in confined spaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities; good judgment and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform kitchen cleaning and storage tasks (dishwashing, pot washing, equipment cleaning).
• Manage storage and rotation of food and supplies following sanitary procedures and standards.
• Handle all foods and cleaning activities in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Job description

The Steward is responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as but not limited to dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage and rotation of food and supplies. Responsible for janitorial duties in various dining services areas such as Dining Room, Bistro and other areas associated as a Dining Activity. Responsible for handling all foods, storage and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning and preparation.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities
