Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking a friendly Cafe Cashier to join the cafeteria team in Fredericksburg, PA. You will handle customer transactions, operate the POS, and help maintain a clean, efficient checkout area.

This role requires strong customer service, basic math, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment on 1st or 2nd shift. No advanced experience is required, but reliability and a positive attitude are valued as you support daily cafeteria operations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn the POS system.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system and accurately process cash, credit, and other approved forms of payment.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Provide friendly and professional service to team members and customers.
• Assist customers with questions regarding menu items, pricing, and cafeteria services.
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and presentable throughout the shift.
• Report POS equipment issues or payment processing concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist other cafeteria stations and areas as needed to support daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
