Job summary

Mendoza Elementary School in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Non-Instructional Assistant Cafeteria and/or Playground for a part-time role to support student safety and welfare during lunch and recess.

The position requires a High School diploma, is 18+, and involves monitoring, counseling, reporting incidents, assisting with meals, and light cleaning. Base pay is $16.56/hour for 5 hours per week, with annual performance pay.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with and/or supervising children.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cafeteria and playground activities.
• Counsel and/or intervene with students to ensure acceptable behavior.
• Report observations and/or incidents relating to students to appropriate school personnel.
• Respond to emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns.
• Assist students during lunchtime.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks.
