Seattle Public Schools is seeking staff to prepare and serve nutritious meals in the district cafeteria. The role requires following standardized procedures, working within a set schedule, and maintaining accurate meal counts and records.

Staff may assist in training others and liaise with school personnel to promote healthy nutrition. Ideal candidates have at least one year of commercial food prep experience, knowledge of meal preparation fundamentals, and the ability to plan menus and adjust

Qualifications

• Meet minimum qualifications for Assistant and Satellite Servers.
• One year experience in commercial or institutional food preparation.
• Ability to utilize fundamentals of meal preparation.
• Skills to plan menus and adjust recipes.
• Competency to complete and maintain all records as requested and substitute as needed.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and serve attractive, high quality meals according to procedures and schedule.
• Complete tasks within time allocated and comply with safety standards.
• Assist in cleaning kitchen, equipment, tables and storeroom as scheduled.
• Maintain appropriate food and supply inventories.
• Direct or assist unit employees to maintain cafeteria operation as needed.
• Maintain daily records and reports for Kitchen Manager.
• Collect money and account for meals served, manually or by computer.
• Maintain a plate count for meals served and promote Culinary Services programs.
