Job summary

Huron Valley School District Highland Elementary is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for students during the 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. window.

You will assist with meal production, maintain strict safety and sanitation standards, operate the POS system, and help coordinate events and promotions as needed. The role requires a High School diploma or related experience, with ServSafe certification highly recommended.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of ServSafe Certification Training (highly recommended).
• Demonstrated ability in food production and presentation.
• Maintain high sanitation and cleanliness standards in food production.
• Knowledge and use of quantity food production equipment.
• Basic knowledge of nutrition.
• Positive interactions with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious, attractive meals.
• Assist with meal production as directed.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in all food service areas.
• Assist with dishwashing and equipment maintenance.
• Operate the point of sale system and handle revenue collection.
• Coordinate and support sales promotions and events as needed.
• Assist in coordinating substitutes to ensure program operation.
• Support in printing, copying, and distribution of publications.
