The Nutrition Group is seeking a Cook for a local K-12 School Cafeteria. The role focuses on cooking, food preparation, and sanitation to deliver safe, nutritious meals for students.

Responsibilities include placing food orders, adhering to HACCP/health regulations, managing inventory and costs, and communicating with school district staff. Food service experience is preferred; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Food service experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to perform basic math and read recipes.
• Must obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and food preparation with sanitation.
• Place food orders and manage inventory.
• Comply with HACCP and health department regulations.
• Maintain cost controls and accurate accounting practices.
• Communicate with school district officials and staff.
• Cashiering/money handling responsibilities.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with orders and inventory.
