Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cafeteria Cook in Wilmington, NC. You will prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for meals and events, following Sodexo's standards for quality, safety and presentation.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, maintain a clean workstation, and support the culinary team to deliver a great dining experience. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years of related experience, basic kitchen equipment knowledge, and the ability to read

Qualifications

High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
0 to 2 years of related work experience.
Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good working knowledge of food preparation.
Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

Prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold foods for all meals and events following Sodexo's culinary standards.
Follow recipes and product directions for food preparation and serving.
Estimate food requirements and check production to ensure quality and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation and uphold safety standards.
Support kitchen team and adapt to account-specific client needs.
