Job summary

UMass Memorial Health - Harrington Hospital, Inc. is seeking a cafeteria worker to prepare and serve meals for staff and the public. Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking, basic food prep and accurate employee/customer charging using the cash register system.

The role emphasizes food safety, customer service and reliability, with a 40-hour/full-time schedule. Schedule details vary; holidays are every other, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.
• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• On the job training available.

Responsibilities

• Follows HACCP standards.
• Maintains high customer service standards.
• Attends department meetings up to 75% of the time.
• Uses cash register with low variance (2 times per quarter).
• Maintains signage and marketing materials in the cafe.
• Performs other standard staffing level duties as required.
