Job summary

Management & Training Corporation operates the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, OR. We are seeking a part-time cafeteria associate to support daily dining operations for our local youth program. Responsibilities include preparing meals, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean dining area.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current ServSafe (Food Handler) Certification.
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• A valid driver's license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Replenish napkin dispensers, plate racks, silverware racks, salt and pepper shakers and condiments.
• Make coffee, tea and other beverages and set up cafeteria lines and serve meals on the line.
• Assist in the storage and inventory of supplies; transfer food ingredients from storage area to cooking area.
• Clean food service area, tables and kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Prepare vegetables, salads, meat, bread, and desserts as instructed or routinely set forth in an appetizing manner.
• Perform clean-up and sanitation duties by washing dishes/utensils, store in orderly fashion.
• Assist with food preparation and service area daily which includes keeping refrigerators, floors, and food carts clean.
• Perform cooking duties as needed.
