Job summary

AdventHealth Altamonte Springs in Florida is seeking a part-time café/food service associate to assist with daily operations. You will handle cashier transactions, maintain a clean, stocked workstation, and support kitchen and patient meal tasks as needed.

The role emphasizes friendly customer service, English communication, and adherence to safety standards. A High School diploma or GED is preferred, with ServSafe certification encouraged.

Job Description:

• Process customer transactions swiftly and accurately using the cash register and point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Support daily café and kitchen operations by assisting with restocking supplies, food preparation, patient meal production, dishwashing, meal delivery, and other tasks as assigned to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and resolving concerns professionally.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of food items and ability to interact with customers to answer questions and to promote food offerings. [Required]
• Ability to communicate in English. [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• or G.E.D.

Work Experience:

• Previous cash register\ cash handling experience [Preferred]
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry to include front of the house, back of the house and customer service [Preferred]
