Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a part-time food service team member to prepare and portion meals for patients, staff, and visitors. You will stock pantries, maintain clean work areas, and deliver meals while following safety and hygiene protocols.

The role requires basic math, English communication, and good customer service. Proficiency with MS Office is valued, and prior food service in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills and able to communicate in English.
• Good customer service skills required.
• Computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Physical ability to perform designated job required.
• 1+ experience in food service experience in hospitality or healthcare industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
