Job summary

Grand Central Bakery in Seattle is seeking an enthusiastic Café Team Member to join our vibrant cafes. You will prepare and serve delicious food and drinks to a community of loyal customers, working the sandwich bar and barista station.

Shifts include Retail Open, Mid-Shift, and Retail Close. This part‑time, non‑exempt role pays $22.05 per hour plus tips (tips average $7.00–$9.00 per hour) and requires weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Maintains a valid Food Handler's Card.
• HS diploma/GED preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Punctual attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Operate point-of-sale system proficiently.
• Serve bread and pastries to customers while ensuring both meet GCB specs.
• Make and serve sandwiches and coffee drinks during rushes, with latte art where possible.
• Maintain a clean cafe environment including bussing and dishwashing.
• Collaborate with team and deliver excellent customer service.
• Follow cash handling procedures with high accuracy.
• Follow safety requirements and report hazards.
