Job summary

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. is seeking a Lead Barista to lead the café team, guide baristas, and ensure smooth daily operations. You will foster a welcoming environment, coach peers, and maintain high standards for service, presentation, and experience across the bookstore’s café.

This role demands leadership in scheduling, training, and maintaining cleanliness and product displays, while supporting the wider store team and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Leadership of cafe team and coaching baristas.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliability and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the café team to maintain compelling product presentations and ensure the efficient running of the Café.
• Coach and support baristas, address questions or concerns promptly and effectively.
• Guide baristas in visual merchandising, stock handling, FIFO, and cleanliness standards.
• Improve register speed and accuracy and confidently handle customer conversations at the till.
