Job summary

Daily Provisions in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Cafe Sous Chef to lead line cooks and the BOH team, working with the Cafe Chef to uphold quality across all services. This role also focuses on coaching staff and driving culinary excellence.

You will ensure recipes are executed to Daily Provisions' standards, supervise prep and service, and support front-of-house operations as needed, all while delivering outstanding guest experiences and staff growth.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of kitchen leadership in casual dining.
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge with guest focus.
• Experience in training BOH team members.
• Clear, respectful communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Enlightened Hospitality for guests and staff.
• Partner with FOH and BOH to enforce systems and checklists.
• Lead daily service, ensure timely food flow and quality.
• Educate staff on menu and culinary procedures through tastings.
• Train new hires and maintain health code standards.
• Support and manage front-of-house operations when needed.
