Job summary

Bluestone Lane in Kentucky is hiring a Service Professional to set the cafe tone with exceptional hospitality, educate guests on premium menu items, and maintain friendly, engaging service as host, server, and barista.

You will uphold Bluestone Lane's standards, work with a team to deliver fast, accurate orders, ensure cleanliness and organization, and participate in opening/closing procedures. Prior full-service restaurant experience is preferred and DOH/ServSafe certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a full-service restaurant
• Passion for providing great service and making others happy
• Team player and enjoys collaborating to achieve great performance
• Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs
• DOH Accreditation and/or ServSafe Certified a plus

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests and explains the Bluestone Lane dining experience
• Builds personal connections by learning guests' names
• Guides guests on downloading and ordering from the app; upsells rewards and loyalty
• Contributes to a cohesive team delivering exceptional experiences
• Educates guests on menu and maintains high standards for coffee/beverage quality
• Acts as gatekeeper for cafe quality and processes
• Serves tables with upselling focus; refills beverages at the right times
• Coordinates with back-of-house to ensure accurate, timely order placement (within 12 minutes)
• Provides quality product with speed and accuracy
• Performs daily, weekly and monthly cleaning; keeps workspace organized
• Keeps coffee bar equipment clean and functioning; follows opening/closing procedures
• Adheres to grooming and uniform guidelines
