Job summary

The Marcus Corporation seeks a part-time Café Server for the Hilton Milwaukee in downtown Milwaukee. You will provide food and beverage service in a friendly, professional manner, delivering a superior guest experience while adhering to service standards.

Shifts include mornings, weekends, and holidays. Pay rate is $7.46/hour; it is a union position with benefits such as meals, discounts, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Prior food, beverage, cash handling and hospitality experience preferred.
• Proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
• Record and input guest orders into the POS system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
• Maintain self-banking procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

As a part-time Café Server, it will be your responsibility to tailor the Café experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction.

What will you be doing?

What do you bring to the role?

• Prior food, beverage, cash handling and hospitality experience preferred.
• Innate desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards.
• Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Learn table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• Proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication.
• Recall and promote menu items.
• Maintain professional demeanor and clean uniform.
